Spectacles OS update: Snap’s outdoor Lenses announcement
NavigatAR is an AR navigation tool built on Snap AR Spectacles. Users discover or select a destination by voice command, pull live information about it from the web, and then follow real-time AR directions laid over the world in front of them, with an integrated map webview for context.
The hard part was not the arrows; it was the handoff between voice intent, live place data and a map webview that had to stay readable inside a narrow field of view while someone is walking. We prototyped, tested on the street in Bangkok, and cut everything that did not survive daylight.
